Mr. White was previously Executive Vice President of HealthLease Properties, a publicly traded REIT focused on health care real estate. He also previously served as a Senior Vice President of Brookfield Asset Management Inc., where he was responsible for raising capital for various alternative asset vehicles across real estate, private equity and infrastructure.
His career experience includes a tenure as Director and Head of Deal Management at Citigroup’s Alternatives Distribution Group. While at Citigroup, Mr. White advised clients on alternative capital raising activities in private equity, real estate, hedge and infrastructure funds. He was responsible for executing 25 capital-raising assignments at over $30 billion.
Earlier in his career, Mr. White was part of the Health Care Group at Citi’s Investment Bank, working with clients in the health care sector on M&A and capital raising assignments. He began his career in public accounting as an auditor for PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Mr. White earned a Bachelor’s Degree with highest honors in Political Science and Journalism from Rutgers University. He received his Master’s of Business Administration from Rutgers Graduate School of Management and his law degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law School. Mr. White is a member of the Board of Directors of Rutgers University Foundation and a member of the Board of the NJ Chapter of Young Presidents Organization (YPO).
Mr. Chester’s career spans more than 18 years, with experience in finance, real estate, investments, development, and capital markets. Over the course of Mr. Chester’s career, he has initiated billions in successful capital raises, lead numerous tactical acquisitions and created billions of dollars in value through strategic divestitures.
Mr. Chester has established himself as a leader in the health care industry and has meaningful partnerships and relationships with operators and developers throughout the senior care industry. Prior to his position as Chief Investment Officer of Invesque, Mr. Chester was critical to the successful launch and IPO of HealthLease Properties. In the role of Chief Financial Officer, he grew HealthLease Properties from a $250 million company to nearly $1 billion. In 2014, he orchestrated the multi-billion dollar sale and development capital deal with Welltower (NYSE:WELL). Mr. Chester’s success helped earn the coveted title of CFO of the Year by Indianapolis Business Journal in 2014, and a spot on the 2015 Forty Under 40 list by Indianapolis Business Journal.
Prior to joining Invesque, Mr. Higgs was the Senior Vice President of Finance at a national real estate investment company. Over the course of his career, Mr. Higgs has assisted in raising billions of equity, debt, and other financing dollars. He was also previously a Senior Manager in the audit practice at KPMG LLP, where he served a variety of industries, including real estate, software and manufacturing. He has significant experience working with public companies and has assisted in multiple initial public offerings.
Mr. Higgs graduated summa cum laude with his Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Butler University. He is a certified public accountant and a member of the AICPA. Mr. Higgs was most recently nominated for CFO of the Year in 2018 by the Indianapolis Business Journal. He is also the chairman of the board of directors of Play Ball Indiana.
Mr. Hickman built his career in the health care real estate sector, more specifically with Welltower Inc., and most recently, he served as the Vice President of Investments with Welltower. In that position, Mr. Hickman led a team responsible for underwriting and asset management of a portfolio of properties valued at more than $4.5 billion. During his 12 years with Welltower, Mr. Hickman performed and supervised the underwriting and asset management of properties spanning a wide range of asset classes including post-acute, acute care, medical office and seniors housing. In total, Mr. Hickman closed over $15 billion of transactions.
Mr. Hickman graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree with honors from Case Western Reserve University. He received his Master’s of Business Administration with high distinction from the University of Michigan.
Mr. Dechow has over 30 years of experience in real estate, asset management and development. Prior to joining Invesque, he was previously Vice President of Development and Construction for a national real estate investment company where he was responsible for managing new project design, quality assurance and delivery processes across multiple geographical regions. His previous experience also includes the management, development and construction of properties for a large international grocery chain as well as a national real estate development firm where he developed office, industrial and medical office buildings. Additionally, he worked in a real estate asset management role for a large financial services company.
Mr. Dechow is a graduate of Cornell University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Economics and Business Management. He is actively involved in his church and community where he has served as a Sunday school teacher, Adopt a Family program sponsor, a coach for multiple youth sports, a Committee Member for the Boy Scouts of America, and a member of BOMA International.
Mr. Haselhorst began his career in public accounting with Ernst & Young, serving clients in the manufacturing industry. He then transitioned into corporate accounting and subsequently started with Invesque prior to the Company’s IPO in 2016. Mr. Haselhorst has served as Portfolio Manager, Investments prior to his current role where he asset managed the Company’s portfolio of post-acute, seniors housing, and medical office assets. In his current role, Mr. Haselhorst has sourced and managed hundreds of millions of financing dollars on behalf of Invesque.
Mr. Haselhorst graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Entrepreneurship from the University of Dayton. He holds a Master’s Degree in Accountancy from the University of Notre Dame. He is a certified public accountant and a member of the Indiana CPA Society.
Ms. Onweller has spent almost ten years working in commercial real estate, the majority of which has been focused on the healthcare sector. Prior to joining Invesque, she was a Vice President at Blue Road Ventures, a Chicago-based private equity firm focused on retail and mixed-use development projects. She spent significant time as a Portfolio Manager at Ventas, Inc. and Care Capital Properties, Inc., where she managed the financial performance, optimization and strategy of a portfolio of seniors housing and skilled nursing assets valued at more than $4.0 billion. Ms. Onweller started her career at General Electric and completed their two-year corporate finance development program.
Kari graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from Michigan State University. She is actively involved with NIC and ASHA, and currently serves as Vice Chair of the NIC Future Leaders Council.
